ABOUT US

A Church Focused On Christ and Community.

Shetland Church of Scotland is a unique union of 13 former parishes. We have one Kirk Session, 12 Local Congregations, and three more congregations on the outer isles.

Our mission is to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ in every corner of Shetland through worship, witness and working in partnership with our communities.

The Parish is served by a team ministry of three Ministers and three Ministry Development Staff.

The Church of Scotland is a church in the Reformed tradition. You can find more details about our faith and beliefs on the Church of Scotland website.

The Church of Scotland has a deep concern for the wholeness and wellbeing of each individual. Through its Congregations, working together with the Safeguarding Service and statutory agencies, the Church seeks to safeguard the welfare of all people who come into contact with the Church and its services. You can find a copy of the Church of Scotland safeguarding handbook here.

Whether you live here in Shetland, or are just visiting, we would love to connect with you. You are warmly welcome to come to any of our Sunday services or weekday activities, or message us via our contact page.
